The Ministry of Culture’s “Spotlight Taiwan” project, a cooperative program seeking partnership with professional arts and culture organizations and leading universities, is open to new applicants for the year 2017.
New overseas partners interested in co-organizing enriching activities related to Taiwan’s culture may receive up to US$40,000 per year for an approved project.
Past events held to highlight the unique, multifaceted culture of Taiwan include forums and workshops showcasing Taiwanese writers, visual and performance artists, heritage experts, or cultural entrepreneurs.
A comprehensive series of programs offering film screenings, exhibitions, and master classes under the collective title of “Taiwan Month/Week” has also been well received.
Art and culture institutions/organizations and educational organizations worldwide are invited to submit proposals. Museums, performing arts centers, and arts organizations may receive priority consideration for funding.
The application deadline is Feb. 17, 2017, in which the proposed project must be completed by Nov. 10, 2017.
