The Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development (BAMID) will initiate a program to establish professional standards and certification for lighting specialists and audio engineers working in the pop music industry.

The Bureau is also looking into including pop music in Taiwan’s national education system by working with the Ministry of Education and local universities.

The Bureau will begin by launching a series of interviews and forums with experts and scholars to specify standards for qualifications that the industry as a whole recognizes as important, and then developing skills-oriented training programs.

A national training program for lighting specialists and audio engineers will not only be the basis of talent cultivation, but will also incorporate schools and business associations, thereby integrating academic resources and strengthening career development.
